Fall Hikes and Road Trips

The last long weekend of the summer has come and gone. Fall will start to slowly make herself noticeable. There will be  cooler nights and you might bring a jacket with you when go out for a hike. The best parts of Fall in Ontario are the changing colour of the leaves and the wonderful harvest fruits and vegetables.

Fall colour captured at its finest

Some of my fondest memories are walking on a trail, enjoying all the fall colour and discovering a hidden orchard of apples trees that can be picked and eaten right on the trail.  This is a great time to go for a hike or a drive to see all the amazing trees changing colour.

Best to pack your camera, video cam and a tripod to catch all that colour that the trees will be showing off. Make sure to bring some snacks and drinks for your walk.

  1. The Autumnal Equinox is September 22... meaning Labour Day weekend is not the last weekend of summer. This year it is Sept 17/18.
